Java Developer

We are seeking a Java Developer who is looking to improve their skill set, while meeting new challenges in an exciting start-up environment using the latest technologies to build an innovative new product.

As well as ensuing the stable running of and providing support for the existing administration system, the role will principally involve helping to create a next generation internet based application that will allow the company to insure anything over any time period. This is a greenfield development where the suitable candidate can influence the technology used from the very beginning. You will be joining a small team where your ability will be apparent from day one. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of abilities and interests, be enthusiastic, enjoy working collaboratively and be a creative problem solver.

Our office is based on the edge of Corsham, a historic Cotswold town in Wiltshire. Corsham town centre with its amenities is a less than a mile away, and we offer free on-site parking. Chippenham is 4 miles away and Bath 10 miles distant.


  • 23 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays, rising to:
    – 24 days after 3 years completed service
    – 25 days after 5 years

Technical Requirements

  • Must have:
    – Java
    – At least 1 MVC Framework (JSF, Struts, or Spring MVC)
    – Hibernate or JPA
    – Build tool
    – Version control like GIT
    – Any modern relational database
  • Beneficial
    – React JS
    – JavaScript
